The onus of the Oman Business Forum’s success and the realization of its goals lies with the members as they are the drivers of OBF’s activities and events. OBF’s management provides the platform and incentives that encourage a common purpose, enrich collaboration and facilitates cohesion among the community.

HE Talal Al Rahbi was appointed Deputy Secretary General of SCP in 2013. In 2016, Al Rahbi managed the inception of a five-year program for national economic diversification, under the banner Tanfeedh. Among many board and representative positions, Al Rahbi currently serves as the chairman of a new Oman Technology Fund; Deputy Chairman of the Public Authority for SME Development; board member of the Oman Rail Company, Public Authority of Electricity and Water, Public Authority for Craft Industries; and a member of the Oman Vision 2040 Committee. He also serves as First Deputy Chairman of the UNESCO Institute for statistics (2010 - 2013)

Al Shaksy is a Member of the following: Oman’s State Council and Deputy Chairman of its Economic Committee. Board member of the Board of Directors of Oman Oil Company Member of the Board of Oman Oil Refineries and Petroleum Industries Company (ORPIC), Member of the Board and Board Executive Committee of Al Raff’d Fund (Oman’s Government funded SME fund), Chairman of Oman’s Growth Fund, Member of the Diwan of Royal Court sponsored Sharakah (PPP) program, Advisory Committee Member for the National Leadership and Competitiveness Program, Board Member of Oman Banks Association, Chairman of the Shaksy Group Prior to joining Alizz, he served as Chief Executive Officer of National Bank of Oman between 2010 and 2014. He has also held a number of senior executive positions including CEO of Dubai Banking Group, CEO of Dubai Islamic Investment Group Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Bank Dhofar. He embarked on his banking career with Citibank Global Consumer Business, Dubai, U.A.E. in 1992. Prior to that, he had a three-year stint in government and a couple of years with his family’s business.

AbdulRazak has over 40 years of experience in the banking sector, including through his role as CEO of Bank Muscat since 1994. He is the Chairman of the Oman Bankers Association, board member of The Public Authority for Investment Promotion & Export Development (Ithraa), a member of the Asian Bankers Association, a member of the Advisory Council of the World Union of Arab Banks. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Capital Market Authority of Oman and a member of the Foundation Board of IMD (Lausanne).
