Mr. Sulaiman Shutayiet Al Gannami

Sulaiman Al Gannami Currently holding the position of Chief Financial Officer after he took the role of Executive Director Strategic Transformation with Oman Air. Sulaiman Al Gannami has 13 years of Local and international professional experience, in corporate strategy, business management, finance and external audit fields. Worked 7 years for PwC where 4 years in international offices, then joined Oman Drydock Company in 2010 and left in October 2017.

Mr. Sultan Ahmed Al Wahibi

Sultan Ahmed AL Wahibi is the Chief business & Wholesale Officer at Ooredoo. Sultan has more than 16 years of experience leading teams as a Project Manager, Head of Wireless Communication, Director, and Chief business & Wholesale Officer of the Network Modernisation Programme in Oman. Prior joining Ooredoo, Sultan has worked for the government of Oman and deployed a nationwide Private Mobile Radio (PMR) TETRA network. Sultan progressed within the company, taking on many roles, including Director of Capability Management, Director of Implementation & Infrastructure and Director of Business Sales prior to his appointment to Chief Business and Wholesale Officer. He is responsible of driving Ooredoo Oman’s B2B and wholesale strategy including ICT.

Having joined Ooredoo Oman in 2010, Sultan progressed within the company, taking on many roles, including Director of Capability Management, Director of Implementation & Infrastructure and Director of Business Sales prior to his appointment to Chief Business and Wholesale Officer. He has led many mega projects in network deployment and infrastructure projects including data centres, fibre rollout, etc. Sultan is currently leading Ooredoo Oman integrated business and wholesale unit, comprising Sales, Marketing and Product Management in the delivery of the commercial strategy for all business and wholesale segments.

Sultan holds a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering (Telecommunication Stream) with a Minor in Business from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. He is also a graduate of the London Business School’s reputed Executive Education Programme and the Institute for Management Development’s (IMD, Switzerland) as part of the Ooredoo Business Leader Programme.

HE Taher Mabkhout Al Junaibi

H.E. Taher AL JunaibiCurrently is the CEO at Duqm Ahlia Development SAOC (DAD) since Oct 2012 when he was seconded by Occidental Oman Inc. to manage this company as part of their SCR program. H.E. Taher started his career in Aug 2007 as a financial analyst at Oxy Mukhaizna Field. Then reassigned to the HO in the Budgeting and Cost Control Team for from Jun 2010 till Oct 2012 when he was seconded for this position.  

Eng. Yahya Mohammed Al Rawahi

A management professional with track record and experience in managing project companies and organisations. Highly skilled in Oil & Gas, Oil terminals and Renewable Energy especially Solar PV. Yahya is a graduate of Oman's National CEO programme, a Chartered Engineer (CEng) holding an MSc in Project management (Oil & Gas), an MTech in Petroleum Technology, and a BEng. Honour Degree in Mechanical Engineering and many other technical as well as management and leadership training courses acquired through a career history of 20 years that involved all project life cycle from initiation to operation. Coupled with outstanding personal traits and positive behaviours, these helped with all achievements and career progressions as well as family and personal achievements. Away from professional career, Yahya is a writer and author of 4 books in Arabic literature and intellect. Yahya started his professional career with the country leading upstream oil and gas company, PDO. In the 15 years as a staff with PDO and 5 years before that as a scholar, he was exposed to challenging, but rather self-developing, roles and opportunities ranging from site construction supervisor, to construction manager of a major project through to leading mechanical engineering teams for mega projects. In 2015, Yahya joined Oman Tank Terminal Company as Engineering Manager where he led the engineering team work for the development of a new strategic and commercial oil storage and export and import terminal, the first of its kind in Oman.

Mr. Yassir Abdullah Al Salmani

In 2016, Yasir joined new Greenfield Project (Al bashayer Meat Company SAOC) as Finance Manager where he has helped in setting company strategy, business plan and participated in building the overall company structure. Yasir also Serve as the interim Head of Corporate Support Services.

Mr. Zahir Ali Al Hashar

Zahir Al Hashar is Supply Chain Planning & In Country Value Manager working for Occidental Oman. He has over 14 years of extensive experience as a business leader in the oil and gas industry with global exposure working for major oil and gas companies in Oman including PDO, BP and Oxy.

Between 2004 and 2010, during his role with PDO as a Lead Contract Engineer, Zahir assessed, negotiated, managed and delivered multi-billion capital projects. In 2010, Zahir held a regional role as Planning and Performance Manager with BP, where he developed and managed global and regional Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for measuring Company financial performance and reporting.

In 2014, Zahir joined Oxy’s upstream operations as an In-Country Value Manager, undertaking a variety of business roles, leading change and adding value to the local economy and to the development of Omanis’ human capacity. In 2015, on top of his current role, Zahir was appointed as an Independent Director in the Board for Gulf Hotels, a publicly traded company in the hospitality sector, and in 2018 as a Chairman of the Audit Committee. He is also attracted to the Real-estate sector as an investor. In 2018, Zahir was given the responsibility of Supply Chain Planning on top of ICV into his profile. A role that involves setting up aligned KPIs and Dashboard with the focus on supporting the team to come up with effective strategies tackling the increased business requirements.

Zahir holds a BA in Finance with honors from California State University, Sacramento. He believes that Oman has a lot to offer and gain given its rich nature, history and culture.

Eng. Abdulaziz Said Hamed Al Shidhani

Abdulaziz Said Al-Shidhani holds a Master in Business Administration from Sultan Qaboos University (Oman). Prior to joining Diam in 2013 as Sr. Manager Privatization & Restructuring, Eng. Abdulaziz worked for nearly 10 years at Mazoon Electricity Company as Manager of Planning & Regulatory Affairs. He takes his current position as General Manager of Planning & Assets Management in 2016.

Dr. Abdullah Mohammed Bawain

Abdullah has over 32 years of work experience. DG of Projects and Technical Affairs at Dhofar Municipality since 2023. Since 2020 to 2022 in ministry of interior. He is assistant DG of technical affairs at Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources since December 2015 till 2020. Abdullah is a member of several committees (Environmental, Biological resources-TRC, eGov transformation plan, MRMWR scientific committee) and teams works (e-tendering and projects management and decision support system). Previously Abdullah was Assistant Director of Water Resources in Dhofar Governorate between October 2013 and December 2015. Before joining municipality sector, Abdullah was the Head of Monitoring and Studies Dhofar, then promoted to Assistant Director of Water Resources in Dhofar. Between 1992 to 1995, Abdullah worked for the National well Inventory Project in several Omani Wilayats. Abdullah joined as member of change management team in the Ministry as requirement of eGov transformation plan, representing Dhofar water resources department, followed to be the Head of Change Management team on Feb 2016 to Jul 2017. Abdullah spearheaded an intensive training course in software for Dhofar water resources staff and introduced modern devices to work, that was significant movement in job performance in the district. Abdullah earned a Bachelor degree from Sultan Qaboos University, Muscat and a master in soil and water management from Sultan Qaboos university, Muscat. In 2012, he completed a PhD at Friedrich Schiller university, Germany. As a devoted member of society, Abdullah has held several roles including member of the Oman environment society, Oman water society since 2010.

Mr. Abood Amer Al Amri

Abood has nearly 14 years of work experience. He is the Assistant Director General for the Development of Entrepreneurs Projects since January 2019.
Abood is a member of Al Raffd Fund Executive Management team. He was the Acting Assistant Director General for Investment between March 2018 and January 2019. Previously, he was the Acting Assistant Director General for Financing Programs between September 2017 and March 2018. Abood was the Acting Assistant Director General for Planning and Development between and September 2014 and September 2017 at Al Raffd Fund. Before joining Al Raffd Fund, Abood was the Acting Director of Technical Support and Business Incubators as well as the Deputy Director of Technical Support and Business Incubators at the Ministry of Manpower between May 2009 and January 2013.
Abood is a proven consummate professional with diverse exposure to various geographies, culture and influences with an innate ability to adapt and deliver results within dynamic business environment. Abood earned a Bachelor's degree from Sultan Qaboos University in Commerce and Economics in 2004 with specialization in Accounting (Muscat, Oman) and a Master of Business Administration from University of Bedfordshire, UK University.
In 2013, Abood earned a Academy Certificate on Sustainable Enterprise development organized by International Labor Organization Institute ILO, Italy. He is a member of Oman Economic Association. He has a attended an Executive Program “Innovating in the Digital World” from London Business School. In 2016, he completed a Senior Government Leadership Executive Program at the Institute of Public Administration, Oman. He graduated from the Diwan of Royal Court’s (National Leadership and Competitiveness Program (NLPC) executed by Said Business School, University of Oxford (2017-2018).

Mr. Ahmed Said Ali Al Busaidi

Ahmed Al-Busaidi has more than 28 years of experience in government work in the field of training, development and leadership. He is currently the Director General of Studies and Development at the Consumer Protection Authority. He supervised the preparation of the authority’s strategic plan, and chaired the digital transformation committee and the change management team, such as the authority in receiving the World Summit Award. As the best mobile government application in the world. Before joining the Consumer Protection Authority, he was the director of the main training center at the Ministry of Education, where he supervised the training of teachers, supervisors and school principals, and participated in many national and international conferences and workshops. He holds a PhD in change management and a master's degree in leadership. He is also a graduate of the National Leadership and Competitiveness Program in cooperation with Oxford University and under the supervision of the Diwan of Royal Court. A trainer in the field of leadership and change management. He trained in many governmental and private institutions. He is the former vice president of the Arab Trainers Union. He is also an accredited training quality assessor with a published research entitled "Institutional Culture and its Impact on Change Management." He was honored in recognition of his outstanding efforts in serving education in the Sultanate. He also received a Certificate of Excellence in Business Leadership from the Global Entrepreneurship Federation in the United States of America.

Mr. Ahmed Ali Saif Al- Mamari

Ahmed Ali Al Mamari has 17 years of experience working in the Oman Capital and Insurance Market. He is currently working as the Vice President for Insurance Supervision at the Capital Market Authority of Sultanate of Oman, the governmental organization that regulates the Securities market, insurance sector and investment companies. Ahmed Al Mamari has been a Member of Technical Committee of International Islamic Financial Service Board (IFSB) in Malaysia, Project Manager for World Bank program to develop Fixed Income Instruments in the Africa and Middle East region 2003-2006. He was also a Member of the official committee for introducing Islamic products to the capital market of Oman. Before that, he was the Coordinator of the joint World Bank-CMA Financial Market Development Program for Oman.
Ahmed Ali Al Mamari holds a Master’s degree in Finance & Business Economics from University of Manchester, Manchester Business School, UK. In addition, he is a holder of IMD from Switzerland in Leadership Program. He joined The First National Leadership & Competitiveness Program and Supervised by Royal Court, Oman.

Dr. Amal Obeid Al Majaini

Amal has more than 20 years of experience in the government sector, she is currently the Director General of of Occupational & Curricula Development at the Ministry of Manpower, which supervises the private training institutions. She previously held the position of Assistant Director General of Vocational Training and Assistant Director General of Technical Education.
Amal has academic experience in technical colleges where she joined the Ministry of Manpower in 2005 as a lecturer and then held the position of Head of Information Technology at the Higher College of Technology.
In addition to the current position, Amal is representing the Ministry in the Economic Diversification Program and leads the team that supervises the initiatives of the Labor Market Laboratory and the Ministry of Labor. Moreover she also represents the Ministry in several committees, including the Higher Education Law Drafting Committee, the National Education Framework Committee, And the Ministry of Manpower in the Council of the Scientific Research Authority. In addition to some joint committees with the Ministry of Education and the Council of Education and the Ministry of Civil Service. Amal holds a PhD in information technology and a master's degree Operations and Applied Statistics and bachelor's degree research in the field of mathematics.
