About Me
Abood has nearly 14 years of work experience. He is the Assistant Director General for the Development of Entrepreneurs Projects since January 2019.
Abood is a member of Al Raffd Fund Executive Management team. He was the Acting Assistant Director General for Investment between March 2018 and January 2019. Previously, he was the Acting Assistant Director General for Financing Programs between September 2017 and March 2018. Abood was the Acting Assistant Director General for Planning and Development between and September 2014 and September 2017 at Al Raffd Fund. Before joining Al Raffd Fund, Abood was the Acting Director of Technical Support and Business Incubators as well as the Deputy Director of Technical Support and Business Incubators at the Ministry of Manpower between May 2009 and January 2013.
Abood is a proven consummate professional with diverse exposure to various geographies, culture and influences with an innate ability to adapt and deliver results within dynamic business environment. Through his various professional roles and pursuits, he has learnt and delivered functional expertise and leadership contributing towards the growth with a particular focus in development of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) developments, Leadership and Interpersonal Skills, Business Development Strategies and Customer Services Skills.
Abood earned a Bachelor's degree from Sultan Qaboos University in Commerce and Economics in 2004 with specialization in Accounting (Muscat, Oman) and a Master of Business Administration from University of Bedfordshire, UK University.
In 2013, Abood earned a Academy Certificate on Sustainable Enterprise development organized by International Labor Organization Institute ILO, Italy. He is a member of Oman Economic Association. He has a attended an Executive Program “Innovating in the Digital World” from London Business School. In 2016, he completed a Senior Government Leadership Executive Program at the Institute of Public Administration, Oman. He graduated from the Diwan of Royal Court’s (National Leadership and Competitiveness Program (NLPC) executed by Said Business School, University of Oxford (2017-2018).
