His Excellency Eng Ahmed bin Hassan Al Dheeb is the OPAZ since 2020 His Excellency holds a Master degree in Industrial Development from the University of East Anglia UK in 1993 and Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Miami Florida USA in 1989 His Excellency was honoured to receive a 3rd degree Oman Civil Medal from the late Sultan Qaboos bin Said in 2010 His Excellency brings over 30 years of experience serving in different government bodies in which he held several positions in various sectors such as industrial zones industry trade investment promotion mining information technology attracting foreign investments to the Sultanate of Oman Over these years His Excellency played a remarkable role to develop strategic plans and policies and developing industrial cities special and integrated economic zones and free zones in the Sultanate of Oman His Excellency also supervised the Invest Easy portal project which stands as a national platform that helps business owners and investors to process their registration procedures and issue licenses in a short time This portal was developed in 2016 in partnership with other government parties in order to facilitate setting up commercial and industrial projects The reason behind bringing this portal was to provide an attractive environment for investments in the Sultanate of Oman by creating a sustainable environment building continuous relationships that facilitate completing the procedures and providing services to investors efficiently and with high quality in a quick and easy manner This serves achieving the objectives of digital transformation and government directions in line with Oman Vision 2040 His Excellency chaired the committee developing the Foreign Investment Law which covers many attractive regulations and gives confidence to foreign investors to invest in the Sultanate of Oman in general and the special economic zones and free zones in particular by providing an attractive investment environment and expediting investors transactions that are submitted through the Invest Easily portal
