Ali Al Shamsi is the General Manager at Sohar Aluminium company. Ali has Over 16 years' experience in the Manufacturing and Oilfield Sectors. In 2002 Ali has started his professional career with Schlumberger oilfield services company at West Africa. He has fast tracked his career progress with Schlumberger where he managed to gain the directional drilling qualification and experience and then returned home to share and utilize his experience locally.

In 2007, Ali joined Sohar Aluminium Company, a landmark Greenfield aluminium smelter project in Oman. Since he joined Sohar Aluminium, he has performed varies operational and leaderships roles. Ali brings a wide range of experience in Operation, lean manufacture, project management, and leadership. He hold a mechanical engineering degree from Sultan Qaboos university.
