About Me
As a seasoned Supply Chain and Procurement Executive, I have built a proven track record in contract and procurement management, supply chain optimization, and strategic leadership. Currently serving as the CP Marine Director at ASYAD Group in Oman since 2023, I provide strategic advice to Senior Management to develop and execute contract and procurement strategies aligned with the organization's goals. I oversee two of the largest entities under the ASYAD group - shipping and a ship dry dock - which represents the bulk of ASYAD's holdings, around 80 percent by volume of spend and revenue. My expertise lies in formulating robust policies, ensuring regulatory compliance, and minimizing organizational risks. In my role, I strategized with internal teams and played an integral role in the development and implementation of the Contract and Procurement department for the Corporate Shared Services unit, overseeing a team of high performers to guide procurement functions. Additionally, I am currently leading the implementation of SAP for CP management, driving change management efforts across group companies to improve data accuracy, streamline processes, and increase overall efficiency. Throughout my career, I have consistently delivered impactful results. At Oman Shipping in Muscat, Oman, where I served as the Supply Chain General Manager from 2017 to 2023, I transformed the procurement function into a holistic supply chain organization. By expanding functions and creating new divisions, I enabled mature support and bottom line contribution. Notably, I streamlined the Sale and Purchase process for vessels, achieving significant cost savings and consistently acquiring new vessels below projected numbers. During my tenure at Oman Rail as an In-Country Value Manager, I spearheaded the development of the ICV strategy for the national railway project, focusing on employment, education, entrepreneurship, and economic diversification. I also led a team of supply chain professionals, conducting assessments and implementing streamlined processes to decrease order fulfillment cycle time and improve on-time delivery performance. At Vale in Sohar, Oman, where I held various roles from 2008 to 2015, including Supply Chain Manager and Shared Services Manager, I led project logistics, consistently ensuring timely and budgeted delivery of assets and infrastructure, which included supporting a massive project worth 2B dollars within a two year timeline. With a Master of Science in Logistics Management from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain Management from Arizona State University, I possess a strong educational foundation to support my extensive professional experience.
