Over 40 years ago in 1975, Maqbool bin Ali Salman began his entrepreneurial journey at a very young age, with the establishment of Al Hassan Electricals to sell lighting products.

Company was founded with the support & guidance of his elder brother late Hassan bin Ali Salman. Maqbool is the Founder Managing Director of Al Hassan Private Companies, a post he has held since inception.

After a brief stint with PDO, he began his entrepreneurial journey by selling electrical products in a small retail shop in Muttrah. Al Hassan grew steadily with operations in Oman, Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Al Hassan has a joint venture with Asian Paints Ltd., India, for manufacturing Paints under Berger Brand name in Oman. Al Hassan Private Companies operate in the sector of: Manufacturing (Low & Medium Voltage Switchgear Products), Trading & Services (Distribution & Supply of Electrical and Oil-field products and services) in Sultanate of Oman through Al Hassan Electricals Co. LLC, Al Hassan Switchgear Manufacturing Co. LLC and Hitech Services & Supplies LLC.

Maqbool Ali Salman completed his University Graduation in Commerce & Business Economics, and being a believer in continuous learning, has undergone numerous training, workshop and management development programmes, including High Performance Leadership (HPL) at IMD Switzerland.

He is associated with many Omani Industry and Trade Organization viz:

1. Member of Oman Business Forum.

2. Founder President of formerly Oil Industry Training Board (OITB), now known as Oman Society for Petroleum Services (OPAL) from 1999 till 2003.

3. Founder & Ex-Governing Council Board Member of Oman Society of Contractors (OSC).

4. Ex-Director on the Board of Shell Oman Marketing Co. SAOG (a JV between Shell International and Omani shareholders) upto 2005.

5. Ex-Director on the Board of Oman Cables Industry SAOG (OCI) and Chairman of its Audit Committee from 2004 upto 2014. (Largest Industrial Company in Oman)
