Mr. Mohammed Hamed Al Hashmi

About Me
Mohammed Al Hashmi currently serves as the President of the Decision-Making Support Unit at the Cabinet of Ministers, where he evaluates strategic government policies and legislation by utilizing evidence-based analysis to facilitate effective decision-making. Prior to this role, he was the Executive Director of the National Program for Economic Diversification (Tanweea), which was initiated by the Ministry of Economy and Vision 2040. With over 17 years of experience in the energy sector, Mohammed held various leadership positions in both upstream and downstream oil and gas industries, including contributions to the Duqm Refinery Project and Duqm Petrochemical Project as the leader of technical operations. Additionally, he worked as a Project Director for the Salalah Ammonia Project and has operational experience in petrochemical and refinery operations. Mohammed earned a degree in Chemical Engineering from Sultan Qaboos University, as well as an MBA and Master's degree in Logistics and Operations Management from Cardiff University. He is an alumnus of the National CEO Program by IMD and Royal Academy of Management and is currently pursuing a DBA in Energy Transition at the University of Chester.
