Al Shaksy is currently Chairman of Oman Housing Bank and Advisory Board member of Algbra, UK. He is also a former Member of the Oman State Council and Deputy Chairman of its Economic Committee, Board member of Oman Oil Company (OQ), Member of the Board of Oman Oil Refineries and Petroleum Industries Company (ORPIC), Member of the Board and Board Executive Committee of Al Raffd Fund, Chairman of the Oman Growth Fund, Member of the Diwan of Royal Court sponsored Sharakah (PPP) program and Advisory Committee Member for the National Leadership and Competitiveness Program, and Board Member of Oman Banks Association. In the past he served as Chief Executive Officer of Alizz Islamic Bank, National Bank of Oman. He has also held a number of senior executive positions including Group CEO of Dubai Banking Group, Group CEO of Dubai Islamic Investment Group, and Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Bank Dhofar. He embarked on his banking career with Citibank Global Consumer Business, Dubai, U.A.E. in 1992. Prior to that, he had a three year stint in government and a couple of years with his family and business.
