Sultan Ahmed AL Wahibi is the Chief business & Wholesale Officer at Ooredoo. Sultan has more than 16 years of experience leading teams as a Project Manager, Head of Wireless Communication, Director, and Chief business & Wholesale Officer of the Network Modernisation Programme in Oman. Prior joining Ooredoo, Sultan has worked for the government of Oman and deployed a nationwide Private Mobile Radio (PMR) TETRA network. Sultan progressed within the company, taking on many roles, including Director of Capability Management, Director of Implementation & Infrastructure and Director of Business Sales prior to his appointment to Chief Business and Wholesale Officer. He is responsible of driving Ooredoo Oman’s B2B and wholesale strategy including ICT.

Having joined Ooredoo Oman in 2010, Sultan progressed within the company, taking on many roles, including Director of Capability Management, Director of Implementation & Infrastructure and Director of Business Sales prior to his appointment to Chief Business and Wholesale Officer. He has led many mega projects in network deployment and infrastructure projects including data centres, fibre rollout, etc. Sultan is currently leading Ooredoo Oman integrated business and wholesale unit, comprising Sales, Marketing and Product Management in the delivery of the commercial strategy for all business and wholesale segments.

Sultan holds a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering (Telecommunication Stream) with a Minor in Business from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. He is also a graduate of the London Business School’s reputed Executive Education Programme and the Institute for Management Development’s (IMD, Switzerland) as part of the Ooredoo Business Leader Programme.
